But before that, the question that many in the airsoft world are asking: Will the Tokyo Maui MK46 Mod0 NGRS be released this month? Many have been saving up for this first SAW offering from the top airsoft manufacturer and anticipate its release before the Holiday Season shopping spree starts. It’s going to be an expensive airsoft support weapon, but it looks like the price is not going to be an obstacle to those who can’t wait to get their hands on it.

The 6th Tokyo Marui Festival is the company’s own showcase event for its loyal customers as well as the curious general public so they can get introduced to airsoft. Now on its 6th year, the event is also the must look forward to event for those who are following closely what the company’s plans are for next year as the company will make major product announcements and they do not disappoint.

There will be no teasers for the Festival on upcoming products which they do for the other two major trade events they show up: the Shizuoka Hobby Show and the All Japan Model & Hobby Show. It will be a slam bang product revelation event which we hope would even better the announcement of the MK46 Mod0 last year.

We have an idea on what airsoft tech the company is working on but they are pretty mum about it when asked. And the way the company does long term planning for products means that we are not sure if they are ready to reveal such new airsoft tech. So on with what visitors to the festival can expect.

Set on the 16th to 17th at the Bellsalle Akihabara the festival is an open to the public event, provided that the visitors are at least 18 years of age. For those in airsoft community, the main attraction for them is the “New Product Corner” where they get to be the first to know the new product line up including the already announced and just about to be released ones.  The next best attraction is the “Shooting Experience Corner” where visitors get to try the airsoft guns which many hope would the MK46 Mod0.  If that is not enough then the “Exhibition & Experience Corner” then should make anyone who loves airsoft guns jump with glee as they get to hold most of the Tokyo Marui guns that are in production as this where they are displayed. Before they go home, they can avail themselves of Tokyo Marui merchandise at the “Product Sales Corner.”

There will be “Specials” that await the visitors. Military Virtual YouTuber, Irodori Mayoi, will be making an appearance, virtually of course and there will be commemorative stuff to be made available at the event. Another is Gun Arena game developed by Natsume Atari and Taito where visitors get to shoot at targets with the Tokyo Marui Glock 18C AEP. Just like in the previous years, a new edition of “Girls & Airsoft Guns” will be on display around the venue.
