Author Of "No Easy Day" To Release Another Book

Gungho Cowboy

The Killing of Osama Bin Laden was one of the biggest news items in 2011, the most wanted man in the world was killed by the Navy SEAL Team Six in what became as one of the most successful raids in military history. We predicted that there will be movies and books that will come out in no time discussing the raid on Abbottabad and indeed two notable projects were released in 2012. One is the well-acclaimed movie called "Zero Dark Thirty" and the second, and more controversial was "No Easy Day" which was written by Mark Owen, a member of SEAL Team Six who was part of the raid.

"No Easy Day" became a New York Times Bestseller though there was a clampdown on US Navy SEALS interacting with the media and the film industry due to concerns of National Security. Indeed, there was backlash that former and perhaps current members of the Tier 1 Unit became reluctant to talk to media according to Brandon Webb, author of "The Red Circle" and a former US Navy SEAL Sniper. 2013 became quiet that were was no more mention of Hollywood projects or books about the unit.

"Mark Owen" is a pseudonym, who by this time is said to be Matt Bissonnette, will be punctuating 2014 with another book together with his co-author in "No Easy" Day, Kevin Maurer.  "No Hero: The Evolution of a Navy SEAL" is more personal as he writes about his thirteen years as a member of the US Navy SEALS.

Now on pre-order at Amazon.com, the book is expected to be released to the general reading public on the 20th of May 2014.

According to the description at Amazon, the book will be action packed and "featuring stories from the training ground to the battlefield."

So far, there are no advanced reviews yet about the book that I can refer you to. But I would rather suggest that before you read this book when it gets released, that you read "No Easy Day" first to set your expectations for "No Hero…". It will also give you an initial understanding about the author and a backgrounder on why "No Hero…" is written.

Still, there are three months to go before "No Hero: The Evolution of a Navy SEAL" gets released and thus, you have to read the first book if you haven't read it yet and take your sweet time.
