Breach & Clear Aims To Make You Glued To Your iPad

OptimusPrime

I've always wanted my iPad or Android Tablet to be a good gaming machine for some FPS or military strategy game. I have tried several but they don't seem to keep my attention. There were some exceptions, but in the end, nothing really got my full thumbs up to recommend to our dear reader. So far, we have been writing about PC-based or console games that airsoft players would be interested in, and this will be my first time to write about for a mobile device.

Breach & Clear is an upcoming military strategy game that is being developed for the iOS and Android mobile operating systems. I checked the screens at their website and it seems to have Jagged Alliance combined with Rainbow Six or Ghost Recon albeit with an even more high tech take for the mobile gadgets.  But the screenshots of the game put online by the developer are impressive enough to anticipate its release which should be this Spring.

As most of FPS and even some small action unit strategy video games now, it's always about special operations forces, and Breach & Clear is no exception. The game is being developed  by GunMedia with the designer of Call of Duty and Modern Warfare , Robert Bowling, and Mighty Rabbit, and they consulted with members of the SpecOps community to develop this game. And as mentioned above, there are some features of this game that will remind of your favourite shooter game:

  • Build your team from the ground up like never before
  • Customize your loadout, your weapon and your team to create the most efficient force it can be
  • Guide your team with intuitive controls as you take on some of the most dangerous scenarios available with design input by real members of special operations
  • Take on hardened enemy positions and increasingly complex missions and levels
  • Unlock and equip the very best that the special operations community has to offer from real world rifles and equipment to units from around the US and abroad

The player will be able to control the members of the team and develop their skills through the different objectives. Equipping the players with the proper firepower will give them an advantage and the situations are close combat engagements and the developers aim to actually make you understand CQB theories, which will also remind of you the title: "Breach & Clear".  There are four units that can deployed for the game: 75th Rangers, SEALs, Special Forces, and the Canadian JTF2 with the last being a premium unit.

To get this game when it gets released, it will be freely available at Apple App Store or Google Play which should easily get you started and perhaps addicted to it. Since it's going to be a free gaming app, the game developers will earn via purchases of weapons that will have to be unlocked, including the JTF2 unit.

There is no exact date but we are expecting its release anytime now. We'll be reviewing this game further and if this has an online multiplayer component of this, then it will be even better. For now, check the video game in action.
