Ergonomics is a major selling point of the SiG P226. It has a triad of controls located strategically within reach of the right thumb without altering your grip. These include the slide lock-back release lever, de-cocking lever and the magazine release. It is just a shame that this triad of controls is not ambidextrous and is only suited for right-handed persons. The magazine release is flush with the adjacent part of the grip, which protects it from accidental release while being holstered. No more missing magazines at the skirmish site!
Welcome to the Gadget Show...ooopsss.. the Popular Airsoft Magazine Volume 2 Issue 6. You may just be wondering why on earth our magazine for this issue has a cover story that resembles a gadgets magazine. Indeed we are actually discussing about gadgets, and not airsoft stuff for the main story.
Optimus Prime is on a personal leave for a project, business, plus personal so it's tough to get in touch with him nowdays. This leaves me with some dumped emails that I need to put my attention during my free time, which is rare. However, the autoforward of some un-spam checked emails at the editorial email do go forward to me for this period. And scanning some of this is information about the SYSTEMA ENERGY and here's what Systema has to say:
Santa were to ask me what I would want for Christmas, then the gears of UR-Tactical are part of my list. But then, I am already an adult which means that the of concept Santa (as promoted by Coke) is fiction to me—no Santa, then no one to ask for a gift from like a little boy (which I think I still am). Luckily, UR-Tactical acted like Santa, and sent me items for review.
DIY Vityaz by Chuckie "Renegade Cow" and this is written by him and reported by Brahma.Among the growing community of military enthusiasts, many have come to admire and idolize Russia's special purpose regiments Spetsnaz (спецназ). However, there is one unit which distinguishes itself among the elites: the Vityaz (Витязь, "Knight") counter-terrorist forces.
My editor assigned a quite simple task for me: write a review about a custom AEG. After hours of searching I realized this task isn’t that simple at all. I’ve found only one AEG worth writing about, but the retailer never even bothered to answer my email. All the others out there are based on Tokyo Marui or G&P products and seriously overpriced… or I was just looking at the wrong sites.
The story below surely created quite a stir all over airsoft community fora, coupled with reports from other airsoft news sites adding to the crescendo about the inevitable demise of ACM Airsoft. If you read the story carefully, it doesn't actually paint a doomsday scenario. It means "sit tight and watch the show as it will end with a happily ever after". Well "happily ever after" may not necessarily be permanent.
Reports we have been receiving from the Far East have not been encouraging, especially with the ACM manufacturers based in Mainland China being arrested and the products being confiscated and destroyed. The news is now slowly making rounds to airsoft forums, news sites, blogs, and will get faster by today. A worrying situation indeed as it will affect the supply of airsoft at its most affordable segment.
It's back to school for most young people, and we have always admonished not to bring their airsoft hobby to school or near the grounds. Airsoft guns always have a place, and that is on the skirmish field. But it seems the recklessness and rebelliousness of youth always get the better of them, as a badge of courage for them, but for most mature players, a badge of utter stupidity.
This issue presents three new contributors who have been officially considered as part of the Popular Airsoft Operators Group. What’s even better is that we now have someone from South America who can help us bring more stories to you. As we have mentioned before it’s their turn to shine.
