Well, after getting some heads-up from our readers about this ongoing project, it's time to rally the troops in the area and we hope our friends in the airsoft media can follow this story and direct their readers to vote for this project. It is a project that tries to hit three birds with one stone: a) be environment friendly; b) provide employment for the vets; and c) provide reusable bags in lower income areas in Los Angeles. All our readers will need to do is vote.

"The Million Reusable Bag Giveaway" is proposed project which will give a US$100,000 grant to the winning project  of LA2050 by the Goldhirsch Foundation.  California Greenworks Inc. submitted the proposed project to take the chance of winning the grant. The group that will provide the reusable bags will be Green Vets LA and Homeboy Industries. Green Vets is already an going project supported by S.O. Tech to help veterans gain income rather the be left unemployed and homeless.

If you think this is worthwhile project, then spread the word around via your airsoft forum, Facebook Page, airsoft blog if you have one, and tweet the project to your followers. Rather than use disposable plastic bags which usually end up in waterways, clogging up sewers, and not biodegradable, supplying reusable bags that people can use in shopping and carrying other stuff would help in the environment campaigns especially in large cities where plastic bags usually choke the surroundings. This will also guarantee a revenue stream for Green Vets LA and ensuring income for vets employed by this project.

Voting has began last 2nd of April 2013, and will end on the 17th of April, which will be nine days from today so there's no time to waste and vote for the project if you believe in it.  The best thing is that you can vote for it online.
