I'll have to admit that this for me, is one of the best April Fool's prank of the year -- IGN's Titanfall Prime. It's about news of Transformer's Optimus Prime (aherm, aherm, that's me!) to be released as the latest DLC for the 1st of April. I could have really fallen for it since it would be blast to use an Optimus Prime as a Titan when playing the multiplayer FPS video game which is taking the video game world by storm.

I still have not gotten full grip of the game as I am having hard for me to find time to spend more time playing Titanfall. Things have been very busy lately at Popular Airsoft too, and weekends are airsoft weekends, not video game weekends.

Now back to the story, in this elaborate hoax perpetrated by the guys from IGN and perhaps with the tacit agreement of both EA and Respawn Entertainment, they were able to create a trailer/ad of the Titanfall Prime complete with the voice of Optimus Prime, the new Titan in the DLC. Even the control voice is Optimus Prime.

Now talking about new features with the Titanfall Prime is the Titan Cloak, a new ability which only the Titan Prime has, and the weapon? It's the  Corbot V Cybertron Carnage Axe which works best with a Prime wielding it, and that means Optimus Prime, the only remaining Prime in the universe.

Would you want a real Titanfall Prime DLC to happen? Well, if EA and Hasbro would agree to it as part of the Transformers 4: Age of Extinction promotion, it might just happen. It would be fun hearing the former transform sound and the voice of Optimus Prime.

If that happens and Hasbro likes what sees, Respawn Entertainment might just make a Transformers video game using the Titanfall concept and game engine. Just imagine yourself piloting or having an Autobot or a Decepticon as part of an FPS multiplayer game. It sounds fun, doesn’t it?
