It's Guessing Time Again On Marui's Upcoming Releases

OptimusPrime

As a tradition from Tokyo Marui, they will usually give a sneak peek at their incoming models during major Japanese Hobby and Toy show exhibits which usually happens twice a year and for the first half of 2013, they will be showing up in force at the 52nd Shizuoka Hobby Show which will be held on the 16th to the 19th of May 2013.

Tokyo Marui promises that they have come up something unique for an airsoft model and which has not been implemented yet in the industry. This is what we are all looking forward to. As I have mentioned in my previous Pre-Shizuoka Show story, the new functions are already  patented in 7 countries and most probably in countries where their competitors (and those who blatantly copy their innovations are located). In all honesty though, we haven't seen them take action at Army Armament (an ACM company) for copying their shoot and recoil technology.

So what are the models to be released? Here are the sneak previews:

1. Is it a shotgun? This looks like a shotgun and Tokyo Marui are not big in shotguns so this is where they are also looking into developing for the airsoft market. Is this where their "new functions" for an airsoft model implemented? I just hope it's very proper shotgun that can go head to head in CQB games.

2. The second looks like a weapons attachment that can be used with a recently released shoot and recoil AEG which is also a hot seller (always out of stock at most airsoft retailers worldwide). It can also be used as a standalone airsoft weapon.

3. Is the third one another Gas Blowback Pistol that is made for a popular video game? I believe we already wrote about this product so follow the link (and it's named after a female video game character).

4. Another revolver? This doesn’t give much of a clue as most revolvers show that profile. Oh well, let's wait for 16 days still.

If you want to know more details of Tokyo Marui's participation at the 52nd Shizuoka Hobby Show, all you need to do is  visit their Shizuoka Hobby Show Page as there details which are written in Japanese. But you can check the schedules for general and business visitors for the massive Hobby Show. May is usually the time of the year that we wish we were in Japan if our interest is airsoft.

Update: According to our sources, there are other new products that will be revealed during the show that are not shown at the Hobby Show page of Tokyo Marui. What this means that the  "new fuctions" model may or may not be in one of those models used in the teaser.
