Meet The FNH FNX Pistol Series

Logan

We do have a special place for FNH guns, and their FN FiveseveN, is a much admired or derided pistol, depending on how you look at it due to its ability to penetrate body armour. Now they are releasing another series of pistols, called the FNX series, which allow to choose which caliber you want to shoot it with as there are three available for it.

If you have not heard about the FNX series, perhaps you may have heard about the FNP-45 USG which was developed for the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol program. Just like the FiveseveN, the series also sport a polymer frame, ambidextrous handling, and picatinny rails at the front of the lower frame. Whilst the FiveseveN fires the P90 FN 5.7x28mm round since it was designed as the companion pistol for the P90, the FNX series have 9x19mm, .40, and .45 ACP to use.

With a trend of having interchangeable backstraps to configure for a more comfortable grip of the pistols, the FNX series also come with such and also eyelets for landyards. They also have stainless steel slide and barre, and operation is double/singleaction hammer driven pistol optimised for the rounds that the series can fire.

We hope that these series will also be developed for the airsoft market, but it may take a while since the FNH trademarks are held by Cybergun and airsoft manufacturers will need to license from them. But when the FNX series do get released for airsoft, then we can expect 4 variations to choose from:

FNX-9

FNX-40

FNX-45

FNX-45 Tactical

These will be a nice addition to the collection for FNH fans, which also includes us. But for now, we'll have to content ourselves with the FN FiveseveN, especially the Japanese airsoft models which have proven to be very effective in CQB games.
