The Base: VFC KAC L403A1/KS-1 GBB

A quick video by The Base featuring the recently released VFC KAC L403A1/KS-1 GBB. This VFC airsoft reproduction of the L403A1 features full KAC licensing, trademarks, and rollmarks. Its exterior is precision-machined from aluminum and includes a 12.8-inch KAC URX 6 M-LOK handguard and a 13.7-inch dimpled heavy barrel. The rifle is designed for ambidextrous use, with fire controls on both sides for the fire selector, magazine releases, bolt release, and charging handle. A QDC flash hider, KAC folding iron sights, and a B5 crane stock complete the exterior package.

It incorporates the VFC V3 GBB configuration with a redesigned steel hammer set and steel-reinforced fire control components for enhanced durability. It introduces the Next Generation AR GBB Hop system, a steel-reinforced TDC hop-up that allows for precise, in-chamber adjustment. The system also features a newly designed precision-machined steel bolt for easier maintenance and a heavy, high-speed steel buffer unit that delivers a robust recoil experience.

The KS-1 is noted for its fully ambidextrous lower receiver, mirroring the fire control safety, magazine release, and bolt catch/release on both sides. This makes it one of the first rifles with an ambidextrous lower receiver to be fielded by the military post-2023. This collaboration with VFC provides a ready-to-use GBB rifle for airsoft skirmishing, particularly appealing to fans of the platform.
