"The British Army DPM 40 litre daypack from Wyvern is a purpose designed assault pack with the capability to expand with the addition of side pockets to a 60 litre overnight pack. The main body of the assault pack is top loading, and it is fitted with an elasticated lid to cover the contents better. The lid has its own document pocket on top, and clips down in place with two adjustable quick release buckles.

The sides of the pack are fitted with standard zippers and 20mm clips to take a standard British Army issue bergen side pocket, or Webtex or Kombat versions of the same. The pack is fitted with padded shoulder straps which are adjustable for length. Four D-rings are located on the rucksack for carrying additional material, such as carabiners, ropes, bungees and camouflage material. The pack is completely made from 1000D military specification IRR Cordura which is internally treated with PU for waterproofing, dust resistance and stability. A rugged, versatile patrol pack, modular for adding capacity and an excellent solution to increasing ammo carriage capability on foot."
