CTM Tac details the lengthy development process behind their new Hi-Capa quick-swap trigger. Instead of rushing to fill out their catalog, the team spent over a year engineering a modular system that avoids the hassle of traditional screws and tools. The initial prototype relied solely on magnets, which sounded great until trade show attendees managed to pop the trigger faces off with a single finger, forcing the team back to the drawing board.
To fix this slight design flaw, the engineers combined magnetic force with a mechanical locking mechanism. Now, removing the trigger face requires a specific sequence: pulling it forward to a designated positioning point and then rotating it. This dual system ensures the part stays firmly attached during drop tests, impact simulations, and intense gameplay, only coming off when the player intentionally follows the correct steps.
Each retail kit comes packed with both a thick and a thin trigger face to accommodate different hand sizes, glove types, and shooting styles. Swapping between these options takes about three seconds flat, allowing for quick adjustments on the fly. The trigger base also features an adjustable set screw so players can customize their travel distance for a shorter, snappier break or a standard pull.
