Elite French Troops Nab McDonalds Robbers

OptimusPrime

Looks like some small-time robbers are regretting robbing a McDonalds branch in France. Last Sunday evening, a pair of armed robbers tried to pull of a heist in Besancon, eastern France when there were 11 off-duty members of the French special forces dining at the branch. The soldiers waited until the robbers were about to escape with the cash they took from the till then went into action, shooting one in the abdomen and capturing the other who tripped whilst trying to get away.

We are not sure if the troops were from the GIGN which belongs to the National Gendarmerie, or they belong to a unit under the Commandement des Opérations Spéciales of the French military.
