Fulcrum Eshooter Kestrel V2 ETU First Impressions

Fulcrum gives his first impressions on the  Eshooter Kestrel V2 ETU MOSFET in this video... "I mentioned in my airsoft HK416 build diary that a company had sent me something to try out, well that item has arrived and I couldn't wait to fit it into the HK416. The lovely and very generous lot at Eshooter Tech sent over a Kestrel V2 MOSFET, a very advanced airsoft MOSFET for the V2 gearbox family. This airsoft eshooter ETU allows you to connect your gun to a mobile device for added telemetry and easy adjustment of the many settings.

The mosfet came in a nice little box which padded and protected the contents perfectly fine. This ETU simply replaces the trigger contacts and cutoff lever with optical sensors to prevent wear and arcing. It also uses said sensors to detect the selector switch position, thus fewer mechanical parts to wear out. Fitting the Kestrel V2 ETU wasn't as difficult as I initially feared (I've never installed a MOSFET like this before) and with a little required sanding and filing I got it to fit perfectly into the Specna Arms gearbox casing.

Connecting the Eshooter Kestrel V2 to the Eshooter app is quite easy with Bluetooth, although sometimes I did have to turn on/off location on my Huawei to get a connection. Once connected the app will give you live telemetry, monitoring parameters such as battery voltage and percentage, fire rate, trigger response, shot count, current draw and MOSFET temperature. The app also allows for programming across Bluetooth which allows you to easily change fire modes and other settings.

The MOSFET will give your gun several new features including pre-cocking, adjustable trigger sensitivity, ROF limiting, burst fire, binary and progressive trigger modes to name a few. Now I most likely won't use all of these features myself, they all appeared to work fine in testing. I especially like the burst fire and binary trigger!

I intend to get some footage of this gun soon at the next day event I can attend. I hope to try this airsoft gun out in many different modes. This video technically isn't a full review just yet, it's more of a 'first impressions' video and so far those impressions are very good. I'll do an update video once I've given this MOSFET a proper go!"
