"Like the reviewed Admin Pouch, the M4 3 Magazine Shingle uses First Spear’s 6/9 attachment system to decrease the space between your rig and the shingle.  The “Ranger” Shingle uses bungees to have a secondary level of retention. The reason I think of it as a secondary method of retention is the inside of the each magazine pouch has material that provides friction against the sides of your M4 magazine of choice."
