6mm Badger Fitting The E-Shooter Flare Smoky BT Tracer To An MP5SD6

6mm Badger recently tackled a long-awaited project inspired by a viewer's suggestion. He aimed to combine his Tokyo Marui MP5SD6 NGRS with his preferred tracer unit, the E-Shooter Flare Smoky BT. While the tracer's original housing was too large to fit inside the MP5's integrated suppressor, he discovered that the unit could be disassembled to extract the internal module for a custom fit.

The modification began with the careful removal of the tracer's external base. By applying consistent manual force, he unscrewed the housing without the need for power tools like a Dremel. This process isolated the compact internal core, significantly reducing the unit's diameter. This modular centerpiece was then prepared for installation into the hollow cavity of the MP5's suppressor.

To ensure a secure fit, he utilized a Sig suppressor cover and O-rings to shim the module, preventing any internal rattling. Once positioned, the tracer was completely hidden within the SD6, maintaining the airsoft gun's original aesthetic while adding full tracer functionality. He concluded the project by verifying the unit's charging capability, confirming that the hardware remained functional after the conversion.
