Fulcrum Tries A Shell-Ejecting Airsoft Gun

Fulcrum decides to ignore his own channel's audience poll, trading a democratic result for his own "dictatorship"—to acquire a Double Bell shell-ejecting Lee Enfield sniper rifle. Whilst he admits the rifle’s performance is likely to be a mosh pit of air leaks and mechanical headaches, he is clearly smitten by its realistic wood and metal construction. The rifle is quite a heavy beast, weighing in at 4.5 kilograms, making it just as effective as a blunt object for "wumbling" opponents as it is a long-range weapon.

Mechanically, the rifle is a bit of a quirky challenge. Unlike standard airsoft snipers that cock when you pull the bolt back, this one tensions the spring as you push the bolt forward, which requires a bit of muscle since you can’t brace it against your shoulder. The shell-ejecting feature is the star of the show, allowing the user to load individual pellets into shells and watch them fly out upon cycling the bolt. However, the proprietary internal parts and a somewhat temperamental hop-up unit mean that hitting a target 25 meters away can sometimes feel like a game of chance.

Despite the risk of losing his expensive shells in muddy puddles and the looming frustration of inconsistent accuracy, Fulcrum is determined to use the rifle in an upcoming full-day event. He even fashioned a custom scope mount in about thirty minutes to help with aiming, given that the original iron sights had a bit too much wiggle room. He ends the video indicating that while the rifle might drive him around the twist, it is far too much fun to simply leave it hanging on a wall.
