Jaeger Precision: Salvo Precision Spear SD GBBR

Jaeger Precision takes matters into his own hands to create a custom Salvo Spear SD airsoft model since the manufacturer hasn't gotten around to it yet. The project involves mating a Spear SD handguard from Airsoft Artisan with a Salvo Rattler, a combination that unfortunately does not fit right out of the box. Armed with a file and a healthy dose of patience, he demonstrates the manual labor required to sand down the rails and custom-fit the components to ensure everything sits tightly without any unwanted rattling.

Beyond just simple sanding, the build required some clever engineering, including 3D-printing several shims to get the front pin alignment just right. Jaeger Precision explains his choice of a slimmer suppressor, which allows him to actually use the M-LOK slots on the handguard rather than just having a very cool-looking but non-functional metal tube. He admits that with his luck, the official version will likely be released the moment he finishes this painstaking custom job, but for now, he’s happy to have a unique piece that didn't break the bank.

The project is currently moving into the finishing phase, where the entire rifle will be stripped down for a custom bronze Cerakote job to give it a sophisticated two-tone look. While showing off the progress, he also goes on a brief tangent about upcoming carbon fiber suppressors, noting that airsofters love fancy materials even if they aren't always the most structural choice. He wraps up with a promise to show the final, fully assembled, and painted product once the bling factor has been officially applied.
