Testing The Vorsk VMAR MWS Magazines

Jaeger Precision gets his hands on some new Vorsk VMAR MWS magazines before the actual product has even hit the market. He tests both a 25-round shorty and a 40-round long version, only to discover that they are heavy enough to double as gym weights. While they look the part of a sleek P-mag, the initial excitement wears off once they hit the scale and reveal a weight that far exceeds most competitors.
The performance testing proves to be a bit of a chilly affair, as the magazines seem more interested in spitting gas than launching BBs. In multiple rifles, the mags caused the bolts to behave strangely or freeze up entirely, leading to a "no-go" for automatic fire. It seems these magazines have a very restrictive gas route, making them feel a bit like they are trying to breathe through a tiny straw while running a marathon.
In a nutshell, these magazines are expensive, heavy, and currently outclassed by older, more reliable options. Unless you are looking for a magazine that doubles as a blunt force object or you specifically enjoy the aesthetic of a frozen rifle bolt, these might not be the top choice for your kit. Jaeger Precision suggests waiting to see if they perform better in Vorsk's own upcoming rifle, but for now, they are staying on the shelf.
