Tokyo Marui is scheduled to release the M1851 Navy Air Revolver Pro Silver Model this coming Friday. This air cocking model operates without an external power source, requiring the user to manually cock the hammer for each shot. To improve structural integrity and shot consistency, the revolver features an internal metal frame that reduces flex during operation. It also includes a variable hop-up system compatible with 0.12g and 0.2g BBs, alongside a screw-style safety mechanism located above the trigger.
The exterior of the Model 17 is defined by a silver-finished barrel, cylinder, and frame, complemented by ivory-style grips with a pearl coating. A laser-engraved scene depicting the Battle of Campeche is applied to the cylinder, maintaining the historical aesthetic of the original firearm. Beyond its visual components, the revolver is designed for high accuracy through a specialized air route and a detachable cylinder mechanism that stabilizes muzzle velocity.
Authenticity is a focal point of this release, as the revolver replicates several mechanical functions of the 1851 design. The metal loading lever is fully mobile, and users can attach brass percussion caps to the cylinder to simulate a realistic loading sequence. For maintenance or display, the airsoft gun can be field-stripped into three primary sections: the barrel, the cylinder, and the frame, mirroring the disassembly process of the real-world counterpart.
