"The Vegetato MilTec ultimate assault vest is a fully featured, highly adjustable vest with capacity on the front for 12 M4/M16 or 8 G3/M14 or 8 G36 magazines in the front ammo pockets. The camo pattern is based on the current Italian issue and the slightly grassy and sandy colouration is ideal for the lighter tones of yellowish grasslands with bush and scrub as opposed to the traditional woodlands of Central Europe.

The upper chest is left clear to allow for easier shouldering of the rifle on left or right. Two small utility pockets for grenades or similarly shaped objects are located on the left above the ammo pockets and a combined FFD and pocket knife pocket is located on the right above the ammo pockets. Behind the ammo pockets on the left and right are the utility pockets on either side which are taller than the ammo pockets. These are useful for field utilities, water bottles and other, similar, items. All ammo and large utility pockets open with both adjustable quick release buckles and velcro, other pockets open with velcro only. The vest also has a tall, thin pouch on the rear for insertion of a hydration bladder. The vest is of a three piece construction comprising left, right and back panels, with adjustable strapping between the back panel and each of the side panels on the lower back at three points, and adjustable velcro and webbing strap reinforcement over each shoulder. This allows the vest to be adjusted for height and width.

The vest is of mesh construction for ventilation, double ply on the front and single ply on the rear. The pouches are made of 600D nylon with a thin PU internal coating. This combination is lightweight whilst still being water and dust resistant. The vest main closure is via a chunky zip up the front which is reinforced at the top and bottom with adjustable strapping on quick release buckles on the outside and one internal quick release buckle in the middle. Additional features of the vest are: zippered large dump pockets on left and right for documents and other items, internal padded holster on left side, double D-rings on each shoulder, internal belt loops for a duty belt around the waist, carry handle, extra stowable strapping either side of the carry handle and vertical loops running down the lower back to allow for compression straps to be added around the bottom of the bladder pocket.
