This has a rail on the receiver whilst the original SG 553, also known as the Stgw 04 does not but comes with an aperture sight. Ths SG 553 was used in the Swiss Armed Forces especially for the special units, paratroopers, and the AAD 10. The SG 553 fires the 7.62 x 39 round and can use AK magazines...
