Many of you have been wondering the banner that we have at the Popular Airsoft Facebook Page about the Asia Airsoft Expo. It's really an ambitious project that is being worked on by us together with the members of the Philippine airsoft communities and teams  to come up with the international airsoft fest in Asia. This has been in the planning stages for some time now so we might as well let you in with the initial details.

The Asia Airsoft Expo is not only a trade event for the airsoft industry, but it's the first time to put various airsoft activities done under one major event. The Asia Airsoft Expo is really about different airsoft events running simultaneously, giving the airsoft a choice in which activity he or she, together with his/her airsoft team, would want to be active in. Thus, the Expo is comprised of the following:

• Large milsim event
• Airsoft Practical Shooting Tournament
• Team Tactical Dynamics Competition
• Trade Fair
• Party Night
• Media Day

Set for the 1st Quarter of 2015, the Asia Airsoft Expo is planned to be held in the Philippines, and if all goes well with the site evaluation that will happen this week, it will take place at a facility which was one of the largest military bases outside of the USA during the Cold War. Thus, the place will have some areas that would please the milsim player and at the same time can provide accommodations and facilities for those who will be participating in the non-milsim activities.

Slowly, support and participation are coming in with various airsoft teams, airsoft shooting clubs, and airsoft companies from Asia, Europe, and North America announcing their intentions of supporting the Asia Airsoft Expo. Interest is running high and even if details have not been finalised yet due to some procedural concerns that the partners in the Philippines will have to undertake.
