Those who are disappointed that there is no zombie apocalypse caused by the coronavirus in 2020 and have settled in for looking to shooting at creatures in a pandemic scenario in the upcoming Ubisoft’s “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine” will be in for another disappointment. The game is delayed and will be released in 2021 instead of this year.

Revealed last year, “Rainbow Six Quarantine” is a spin off the squad-based first person shooter, “Rainbow Six Siege” and takes its cue from the “Outbreak” which was one of the limited time events of “Rainbow Six  Siege” in which the team is set to tackle a pandemic raving the place called Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

Set several years into the future, “Rainbow Six Quarantine” is a 3-player game in which the players will be going against AI enemies in the form of new breed of mutated alien parasites that infect humans and their surroundings.

The other Ubisoft game that also gets delayed is what is said to be the most ambitious Far Cry title, Far Cry 6. The delay has been explained by the development team on Twitter:

Earlier this year, we introduced you to Far Cry 6--the most ambitious game in the series to date. We promised an immersive fantasy to lead a modern-day guerrilla revolution set in a rich and exotic world, filled with memorable moments, killer characters, and an epic story.

"While we know you are all anxious to get your hands on Far Cry 6, we want to let you know that we've been given more time to allow us to make this the game you aspire to play while focusing on the well-being of our teams in this unprecedented global context. Our teams around the world are working in the studios and from their homes to pour their passion and creativity into making an unforgettable game--one we hope you will love."

There is no determined date for the release of “Rainbow Six Quarantine” whilst Far Cry 6 has a new date and it is 18 February 2021. Both games will be played on the PC,  PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S.
