You will have to rub your eyes twice or even thrice to read the title right and we didn’t have a typo (which we are always guilty of here) at all in thinking about the title of the story. Yes, Dwayne Johnson, the famous "The Rock" will be a Navy SEAL set to battle not the usual baddies that Tier 1 unit has been always tasked to. He will be set to battle the supernatural bad guys in a movie that is based on a novel called "SEAL Team 666."

Released a year ago by author Weston Ochse, SEAL Team 666 is about a promising SEAL trainee Jack Walker who was whisked away in the middle of this training to join a SEAL Team comprised of four operators and one dog. However, this SEAL Team, called Seal Team 666, is tasked to combat demons, cults, and other supernatural entities intent on doing evil on earth.

Honestly, I haven't read the book and with this news about a movie about a novel which is relatively very new which has a big name Hollywood action hero as the lead actor got my full attention to this book.  Overall, a well-organized cult is behind all the supernatural happenings that put's the future of the world at stake.

The book has actually very good reviews. Some reviews say "Men In Black" meets "SEAL Team 6" and that fans of Tom Clancy techno-thrillers would be absorbed by this book.  The analogy to the late Tom Clancy means also that the author knows his military stuff, explaining things in so minute details without getting boring, which Tom Clancy is well-known for. Some books take years being adapted for the screenplays but SEAL Team 666 is just a year old since its first edition was released in November of last year. Perhaps it's something for a movie studio to still cash in the Navy SEAL legend as recent movies that involves the unit have been blockbusters. And with the twist of SEAL Team 666 story, moviegoers will be going in to watch something a bit different this time.

There are no further details with regards to the production of the movie, such as other stars, budget, and release date, only that The Rock will be the lead and Executive Producer of the movie and that Evan Spiliotopoulos will be writing the script for the movie adaptation.
