SHOT Show 2014 Day 2: Krytac Company Preview & More Videos

OptimusPrime

If anything that has entered the airsoft vocabulary from SHOT Show 2014, it is the name "Krytac". No, it’s not a marriage between Kryptek and Pantac, though it is logical to have that name if they merge to form a new tactical gear company. Krytac is the airsoft venture of KRISS Arms, which basically is not going to be about the development of airsoft products based only on firearms designed by KRISS Arms and other companies under their group (Sphinx and Defiance), but also launching a whole new line of airsoft guns that take their design inspiration from other sources.

Airsoft Medicine are doing a fantastic job of bringing us the scoops from the exhibit floor with Dr. Airsoft able to wring out more relevant information from the representatives of airsoft companies they interviewed. With Rangemaster Larry behind the camera, the duo are such a force for airsoft news for SHOT Show 2014.

Dr. Airsoft interviews Allen Lau of KRISS USA/Krytac , who previously was part of the KWA USA Team. KRISS Arms surely picked some of best in the US airsoft industry. Allen Lau is more of the technical guy and most probably is in charge of product development (Update: He's officially the Product Manager of the Krytac Division of KRISS Arms) whilst Tim Saergeant handling marketing. These are just two big names in airsoft in North America, and we don't know yet who the others are that have joined Krytac. Allen states that the presence of Krytac is a preview of the company and that their main launch will be at the IWA & Outdoor Classics 2014 by March 2014 in Germany.

In the video above, we don't know which one really is the Krytac Trident M4 AEG as the prototype held by Allen looks like an airsoft version of the SR-47. But there are surely some interesting M4-type AEGs in the background. The markings on the prototype show that product will be made in Taiwan and we are not sure if KWA if there are OEM agrrements with known airsoft manufacturers in Taiwan, or another unnamed company in Taiwan will be doing the airsoft production. The release of some of the models is seen around late April 2014.

This means that the job will fall on us at Popular Airsoft as we will be covering the official launch of Krytac in Germany in March and the KRISS HQ in Switzerland will be briefing us about.

Continuing with Airsoft Medicine, they have more videos as promised covering Crosman, Palco/Cybergun, Spartan Imports, G&G, and ICS. Some are already in the market, but some will just be released especially the ICS Transform4 which is the first electric blowback offering from ICS.

Update: More videos from Day 2 covering KWA, Airsoft Innovations, Revision, and PTS Syndicate from Airsoft Medicine added.

Since Airsoft Medicine have already covered a good portion of the companies that airsoft players are interested in, there are two videos from Airsoft Barracks on tactical gear makers this time. On the second day of SHOT Show 2014, they conducted interviews with Blue Force Gear and Condor Outdoor.

One airsoft TV crew has now came up our radar and they should be large blip by now. Action Sport Games (ASG) reported on their Facebook Page that the Evike.com TV crew drop by their booth. Photo below shows Matt in action and another photo with Red Jacket Firearms. We're looking forward to watch their SHOT Show 2014 videos.

The AirsofCrier YouTube Channel also gets in the interview action with Josh Fuerst of 400fps.com doing an interview with Pantac USA. After Pantac, they drop by the PTS Syndicate booth where they had a long interview with Alex Ko.

Top Fire Hong Kong also are into the video taking action at the SHOT Show and here are some of their footages including a closer look at the Magpul Baja:

We'll be posting more SHOT Show 2014 Day 2 news later on as soon as we get more reports.
