The SHOT Show 2014 Week Starts Today

Gungho Cowboy

The  biggest event in firearms, airguns, airsoft, and tactical gear open to the civilian market opens today. The SHOT Show 2014 will open today at Sands Las Vegas to throngs of excited people looking for the latest in firearms and tactical gear development and exhibitors anxious to bag partnerships, contracts, contacts, and after event sales. This is also the even that Popular Airsoft has failed to attend ever since publication started in 2007 due to its schedule hitting other professional commitments that cannot be put aside.

Still, Popular Airsoft will be closely monitoring what happens on the exhibit floor as various airsoft news media, bloggers, airsoft companies, and other sources will be sending feeds to us to spread out to the airsoft world. From Popular Airsoft, you get to find links of interesting videos such as interviews, product overviews, and some wacky interludes that our sometimes funny friends would provide.

Last night, the Airsoft Media met up at the Palazzo to touch base before everyone will be on their business today to provide the SHOT Show 2014 news. This year, the airsoft media based in North America will be in full force as airsoft has now become a mainstay at the SHOT Show for several years now. Previously, airsoft was seen as a novelty, and not provide some serious attention. But over the years, airsoft's growth has been phenomenal that big exhibit booths have been opened to airsoft exhibitors by the organisers.

So what can we expect this year? Well, there has been no major ground breaking announcement from the airsoft industry as most have been released last year. Thus, most of the new products released in 2013 will be on display at SHOT Show 2014 and the full working model of the G&G Springfield Rifle which will be delivered to retailers this month,  is expected to be there.

We're wondering if a prototype SOCOM Gear Kel-Tec KSG will be on display there and we are hoping that MadBull Airsoft and SOCOM Gear would be obliging enough to show one.

Since there's not much to anticipate, we are expecting surprises and boy how we love surprises. Either from the real steel area to find out what's new that we want to be made for airsoft or another legal/law enforcement drama where intellectual property and legal matters spice up the exhibit floor.
Las Vegas is the place this month for airsoft, and the SHOT Show 2014 will showcase what the airsoft industry has to offer. Now, we wait for the news feeds to come in.
