I'll have to say that the GHK G5 Gas Blowback SMG is the second most hyped-up gas blowback SMG after the KWA KRISS Vector GBB with the Tokyo Marui MP7A1 GBB a far third. We're getting more and more reports even before the product has been released and GHK better make sure that this product lives up to its hype when they finally release it.

We will not bore you with another firing test of the GHK G5 Gas Blowback SMG since it seems that all the pre-production units shipped to companies show that it has great recoil and blowback features. Hephaestus Airsoft tries a different track this time showing you how the gas magazine can discharge 80 rounds under one charge. So check the video below to find out:

The title of the video is "GHK G5 Review Video" but realising that it's just an 11-second firing test video, then it's just a quick firing test video rather than a review. Anyway, the GHK G5 Gas Blowback SMG seems to be the next hottest GBB SMG following in the heels of the KWA KRISS Vector GBB SMG and the closest thing in having a CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1 Gas Blowback SMG since it's very similar to the design save for the magazin which is different.

The word is out that the GHK G5 Gas Blowback airsoft gun has such really blowback and recoil action but how about the dreaded cold weather? Will it matter? According to our friends at Public Enemy, WGC Shop got an advance unit to test and they put it through some simulated "winter" weather temperature. Not exactly the most scientific test, but it shows the potential of this GBB for winter skirmishing.

As posted earlier by our content partner, Public Enemy, here's another video of the GHK G5 Gas Blowback airsoft gun prototype being fired by those who visited TAF during the Chinese New Year Celebrations in Taiwan. The video shows good recoil (one of us said it's more of vibration) and smiles on those who test fired it. Overall it's looking good and we hope this is already in production for its eventual release to the market.

Want to try and fire the GHK G5 Gas Blowback Rifle? If you're in Taiwan, you can have the chance as TAF Custom will be putting this available for anyone to try during the Spring Festival from the 13th up to the 16th of February from 1400H to 2200H GMT+8 according to Public Enemy. This is a GBB that is said that the recoil is strong that you will need both hands to control to fire it properly.

Here's another good new for AK users but would to use an AR grip instead. Public Enemy has this photo of an upcoming Angry Gun AR Adaptor for AKs, especially for the GHK AK Gas Blowback. The AR grip is not included in the package but adaptor is made of 6061 Aluminum making it a sturdy one. No details yet of release date and actual pricing.

aRick of Public Enemy is now back from Taiwan and his new video shows that his GHK AK Gas Blowback Rifle has a new feature installed by Hephaestus. This is a left side selector switch, similar to Galil rifles, which makes it easier for you to put the rifle from safe to fire modes, and vice versa. It's not a standard feature in AK rifles so don't expect to be coming out from GHK.
