Oh yes! This community of airsoft enthusiasts just want all the Bundeswehr goodies for one good reason --- they’re the Ukranian Bundeswehr Reenactment Community. It would be such a shame if the airsoft guns and gear that they use are not in use by the army that they want to emulate. And for the general airsoft community, what they like to be replicated for airsoft are some of the stuff that we want too.

They have created an online petition asking any of the airsoft manufacturers which may just want to hear them and make the products they sorely need. Their problem is not insurmountable as it needs a two-fold solution:

1. Umarex holds the exclusive license of things Heckler & Koch and most of items in the wishlist are H&K.
2. An airsoft manufacturer that will make these item under license from Umarex.

The good thing is that both can be answered easily but it will be up to Umarex when the H&K list will be released and they already have two OEMs: Vega Force Company (VFC) and ARES Airsoft. So let's check which items are and are not in the airsoft market:

HK P8. There's already the USP but of course it would be nice if it comes with the HK P8 markings so this is not exactly in the airsoft market, technically.

HK MG4. The 5.56 LMG, and no airsoft version yet.

HK MG3. Traces its roots to the MG42. There was the Ultima Airsoft MG3 that we know was available at WGC Shop, but unfortunately, it’s discontinued. There are units lying around, it’s  just a matter of looking at the right places. The best really for them is to contact SHOEI Japan, as they make the airsoft MG42 so some adjustments can be done by SHOEI to meet their needs.

HK G28. The 7.62 DMR which we featured here before. What VFC will need to do is take the HK417 AEG, fix it a semi-auto and have all have the stock replaced by the one used for the HKG28. Or a third party can provide the G28 kit for the VFC HK417 conversion into a G28.

HK69. This is the grenade launcher and we can tell you that an airsoft version exists in the form of the Craft Apple Works (CAW) HK69A1.

There are more products that most probably will be needed to be developed by the ACM manufacturer as as they're the most prolific in creating replicas of these for the airsoft market: ELNO H295A headset, SEM52SL personal radio and the Thales LUCIE NVG helmet mount.

Indeed it’s an interesting list and the main winner for this request is Umarex. It's a matter of the reenactors to convince Umarex to give them a schedule when these products will be made available for the airsoft market.
