Whatever Happened To The 5.11 Tactical Duty Kilt?

OptimusPrime

Some people want it back badly. If you remember last year, this one was of the April Fools hits online and what started as a joke eventually turned out to be serious as the Tactical Duty Kilt created demand that 5.11 Tactical decided to produce the Kilt. Sometimes fools can be also sources of gold if the joke is done right. However, the  product, after the good run, got discontinued.

Before I proceed with the story, here's the video of the 5.11 April Fool's Joke with Scruffy Wallace of Dropkick Murphy as the model in the commercial 5.11 Tactical Duty Kilt:

With the product discontinued, it seems that Scruffy Wallace wants the Kilt back and he wants to use it for fundraising for Charity, has the full backing of Kyle Lamb of Viking Tactics and the Breach, Bang, Clear guys according  to Guns.com which have the full story on this and here's the video the Scruffy Wallace demanding that the Tactical Duty Kilts are put back in production:

Wallace has his charity for homeless veterans which is called We Salute You Veterans and proceeds from the duty kilts can be devoted to this charity.

I wanted to buy the 5.11 Tactical Duty Kilt, but seemed to have forgotten that it was available last year so I wasn't able to make a purchase. But if 5.11 Tactical will hear out and agree to Scruffy Wallace and Kyle Lamb, then this is an opportunity for me and others who have missed out on the kilts, to buy our own and at the same time help  We Salute You Veterans in its mission.

And if you want to really have the kilts back, the best way is to say it by going to the 5.11 Tactical Facebook Page which we all hope that the CEO, Tom Davin, would be reading.
