Jaeger Precision steps outside of his usual comfort zone to review the Heretic Labs Article I, an airsoft gun frequently targeted by critics. Despite not being a speedsoft player himself, sheer curiosity and a desire to understand the platform drove him to pick up the most basic model. He notes its skeletonized, handguard-free design, which basically resembles a stripped-down MTW and allows close positioning for close-quarters combat.
Initial testing shows solid consistency out of the box, with the gun steadily hitting right around one joule. Jaeger Precision takes the opportunity to test out some Amarok midcap magazines as a more budget-friendly alternative to the popular PTS EPM1 mags. While both options perform well during full-auto tests, he highlights a concern about potential factory oil inside the Amarok mags that could negatively impact friction-reliant hop-up units.
Looking ahead, he assures his audience that he has no intention of transforming into a full-time speedsofter, despite what various AI-generated images on his Discord server might suggest. Instead, he plans to use this lightweight platform to test some unique custom ideas for the front end of the gun.
