The sprawling, four-day Battlegroup 2025 airsoft event became a landmark experience for milsim enthusiasts and here is a video from Rogue One Airsoft. This event ran from 23 July to 26 July 2025, taking over the former Finnish Defense Forces training area, Halli, in the city of Jämsä. Participants found themselves immersed in a vast, dynamic environment characterized by excellent roads and diverse terrain, which offered both beautiful battlegrounds and unique strategic locations. Adding significantly to the atmosphere, the event maintained the Battlegroup series' tradition of featuring various off-road vehicles, enhancing the realism and scale of the engagements.

The event itself was designed as a sophisticated blend of airsoft, milsim, and larp, creating a continuous, high-stakes narrative. Players operated under faction leadership, tackling a steady stream of ongoing operations and momentary missions, which meant the action wasn't a constant firefight but a strategic game of cat-and-mouse with intermittent battles. This demanding, +60-hour experience required participants to be both physically and mentally prepared for long movements, shifting weather, and periods where resupply of food and water was not guaranteed. Whilst no prior airsoft experience was strictly necessary, those with a military or scouting background were best equipped to handle the grueling conditions and the necessity of respecting the various civilian and special role players who populated the game world.
