Garand Thumb tests the SCAR rifle made for use by Special Forces, the FN MK 20 SSR. Designated as the MK 20 SSR, this weapon platform is designed for both long-range precision and close-quarters combat. Based on the FN MK 17, the SSR delivers sub-minute of angle accuracy at distances exceeding 1,000 yards. Its extended rail system accommodates various optics, including night vision and thermal devices. The enhanced trigger ensures precise shots, while the adjustable stock offers customization for optimal ergonomics. After successful field trials in 2010, the SSR was officially adopted for military use.
