HMRC: "It's A Gun Not A Toy"

Airsoft Armoury lose their appeal to the tax tribunal that airsoft guns are classified as toys rather than as firearms. According to This Is Money, Airsoft Armoury will have to pay the HMRC £16,382 (ouch!) in taxes after losing the appeal. There is a 3.2% tax rate on importing guns and it is being collected since 2009. So that's another thing that airsoft players in the UK pay for, apart from the 20% VAT, on top of the retail/wholesale price of airsoft guns.
