Over a month ago, Mister Moro of Hyperdouraku went over the Umarex/Elite Force H&K MP5K Eyetrace AEG, which, according to him, packs a surprising amount of weight and realism into a small frame. Its standout feature is an integrated tracer unit within the chamber, which illuminates glow-in-the-dark BBs without needing a bulky external attachment. He notes that while it feels solid and high-quality, the process of cramming the battery into its tight internal compartment is a bit of a mechanical puzzle that might test your patience.
During testing, the MP5K proved to be more than just a flashy light show, showing impressive accuracy for such a short-barreled replica. Even without a stock to lean on, it managed to hit targets consistently at 30 meters, which caught the presenter off guard. The firing cycle is smooth, though the rate of fire is more "steady jog" than "Olympic sprint," making it a reliable choice for close-quarters skirmishes rather than long-range sniping contests.
The overall package is a mix of high-end licensing and quirky design choices. It features authentic H&K markings and a sturdy metal receiver that makes it feel like a professional tool rather than a toy. While the hop-up adjustment and battery wiring are slightly fiddly—a common trait for the MP5K platform—the ability to spit out glowing green streaks in a dark arena makes those minor annoyances feel like a fair trade-off for looking cool.
