Molcom tries the Acetech Quadra and Quadra S airsoft pistol tracers, which look identical on the outside but behave differently under the hood. The baseline Quadra model sticks to the essentials, handling standard tracer and illumination modes to make your BBs glow in the dark. Meanwhile, the Quadra S likes to put on a bit of a light show, allowing you to cycle through various colors like red, blue, green, and orange, or even choose a random rainbow option if you want to spice up your time on the field.
Attaching these devices to your airsoft pistol is quite straightforward, thanks to the included 11mm and 14mm adapters. The host demonstrates how to mount them securely on models like the Marui Glock 17, using a washer to protect the threads and tightening everything down with a hex bolt to prevent any annoying wobble. Conveniently, you can still poke at the buttons to adjust settings and swap colors even after the unit is fully installed on your barrel.
Charging is handled via a USB-C port located at the bottom of the device, right next to a small indicator hole that lets you know it is powered on. After a successful installation check to ensure nothing blocks the barrel, Molcom moves to a live shooting demonstration showing both models in action. The standard Quadra handles its dedicated shooting modes nicely, while the Quadra S successfully paints the dark with a colorful stream of glowing BBs.
