Operation Vipers Nest 17 February 2008

Black Ops Tactical Airsoft, through Airsoft Warehouse, is organising Operation Vipers Nest which will be held on the 17th of February 2008... "After the failed suicidal mission of the self proclaimed General Carreous and his followers to blow up a nuclear power plant situated on the East coast, General Carreous and what remains of his die hard followers have been driven deep into an old abandoned Napoleonic fortress.

The attack on the power plant would have succeeded had it not been for the bravery of two MOD policemen who tragically died, cut down in a hail of automatic fire as they tried to stop the terrorists from planting explosive charges. John Young 21 and William Trebor 37 were responding to an automated alarm that had been triggered in the grounds of Surrey B, Britain's newest nuclear plant. CCTV footage shows the two officers approaching Carreous and his men just as they were setting their charges. The tape clearly shows one of the terrorists pull an automatic machine pistol from a valise and empty an entire magazine into the two officers. Then, Carreous steps forward and fires one round from a pistol into the head of each officer. Carreous and his men are then seen to exit the site via a hole that had been cut into the fence. The sound of gun fire had alerted other officers who were quickly on the scene and able to defuse the crude IED's that had been planted.

Automated alarms had also been triggered in Special Ops rooms up and down the South coast and officers from Special Branch raced to the scene as Carreous and his men made good their escape. Their vehicle was spotted just as it entered the outskirts of Portsmouth. SB officers tailed the car for several miles before receiving orders to apprehend, just as they were manoeuvring into position, hand grenades were lobbed from the rear of the terrorists vehicle, one exploding right under one of the officers heavily armoured cars forcing it of the road and out of the pursuit. The remaining squad car followed Carreous and his men into the Napoleonic fortress where the terrorists ditched the vehicle and raced into the warren of tunnels.

Although Carreous has not been seen since he and his men entered one of the numerous and vast tunnel systems, it is believed they are upgrading what are, already formidable defences. Carreous has the total support of his men and they are willing to die for there beliefs. Unconfirmed reports suggest that hostages were taken and Carreous has threatened to kill one a day until his demands for safe passage out of the UK to an unspecified location are met. With the UK's policy of non negotiation, this situation could get very bloody, very quickly.
