Military and law enforcement agencies around the world have adopted the P226 for duty use. A little known fact is that it tested far superior to the Beretta 92F in trial tests by the US military. The 92F was chosen over the P226 for cost reasons (and also Beretta's willingness to open factories for manufacturing the 92F in the US).

For those who prefer a solid and reliable tool without bells and whistles, here's the RedWolf Custom P226 Navy. Don't be fooled by the "plain" looks of this beautiful pistol! Based on the popular Tokyo Marui P226R, this custom gun has been fitted with a Prime CNC-machined 6061 aluminum P226 Navy kit and stronger springs. The quality is superb, and the parts are hand-fitted for smooth action with no play between the frame, slide and barrel. As a result the slide movement is smooth enough to be used even with the original recoil spring, but to make it even snappier a 150% recoil spring was added. The original hammer spring was retained to keep the trigger pull light and have a faster slide cycle, but the tension has been increased slightly to get the velocity to a nice round 300 fps. A stronger hammer spring is included in the box for those who prefer higher pressure on the main valve.
