"The motivation behind the Flat IFAK was to replace that larger issued IFAK every soldier gets, the giant football-shaped piece of gear making you lean to one side in a helo or a vehicle. If you are tired of having a clumsy football-shaped attachment on your side at all times or if you are tired of having to lean to one-side when riding in a vehicle or aircraft, then you are ready for the next generation in IFAK design.

The Flat IFAK allows ambidextrous (left or right handed) deployment of the Individual First Aid Kit. It is pulled out of the carrier via the handles on either side. Once deployed the kit may then be temporarily closed using the cinch string and hung around the neck or stuffed quickly into a cargo pocket, allowing weapons usage or to free up the users hands for extraction/movement of the patient.

The Flat IFAK is approximately the same thickness as the VIPER Plate Carrier, allowing it to be mounted to the BLOCS Padded Armored Belt below the plate carrier. The user then has a flat back profile when sitting in a vehicle or a helicopter. It is MOLLE compatible with is outfitted with our patented Flex-Tab attachment system. The Flat IFAK is sold as a kit along with the BLOCS Quick Eject Tourniquet Carrier (BQETC).

Moving the IFAK position from the warrior's front or side position to the soldier's back gives the soldier wearing this new IFAK three important advantages:

1. Utilizes the dead space below the plate carrier on the soldier's back
2. Removes ambiguity of the soldier's life-saving equipment. Is it located on the left or right side of his body?
3. The soldier can now carry much more needed gear like extra mags, frags, and mission items where the soldier needs them the most, up front or on his sides.

This IFAK is also ultra thin and lightweight so it can be easily thrown into a patrol bag or a pack for the law enforcement officer and the avid camper.

The Flat IFAK + BQETC Tourniquet Carrier accommodates the entire contents of the full SOF-IFAK.

Quickly stowed or hung around the neck when treatment is interrupted by the need for quick evacuation or position being compromised while treating the wounded.

Soft material allows the operator to ball it up quickly and stuff it in a cargo pocket or use the elastic strap to cinch closed and quickly hang around the operator's neck to wrap up quickly and move with both hands free to carry a litter or weapons and gear.

When stowed in cover case, Flat IFAK is the same shallow depth as the BLOCS Gen III plate carrier. Snug in dispenser case, will not dispense without sufficient force by the operator.
