SOCOM Gear has sent in this first impression report of the upcoming M82A1 rifle. This is written by someone who is also based in Taiwan and here is what he concludes... "I have seen many Barrett M82A1 airsoft replicas including Smokey's spri­ng loaded­ M82A1 with shell ejection, Hurricane M82A1 AEG, and VFC 8mm gas M82A1. Disregard the internal mechanism and performance behind the design concept, their prices are extremely expensive, and outer appearances are not quite realistic as well.

In my opinion, SOCOM GEAR M82A1 AEG has achieved the best outer appearance airsoft toy can make, none of those can compete with its outer appearance, except real Barrett M82A1 rifle itself.  It seems to be the only Barrett M82A1 toy available in the near future, while other toy companies already cease their Barrett production.  Although I prefer realistic gas BLK internal mechanism inside, which none of this kind of M82A1 product ever been made before, but SOCOM GEAR still does an excellent job for their M82A1 AEG.  I believe we can expect more Barrett series sniper rifles from SOCOM GEAR in the future."
