krieger

The world’s first Action Air IPSC (International Practical Shooting Competition) Level 3 competition was held at the OPSA Ranges in Subic Freeport, Philippines. The competition was organized by our very own Joey “Storm” Rivero, who is also a MILSIMER from the Team Red Wings. It was sponsored by Mr. Kevin Chau of TSI-Tactical and Mr. Anton Cruz of Green Horizon Fortune Trading Company. I did not know as well that we had delegates from some countries in Asia such as Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand.

How Do You Like Your Toast? Buttered Or Riddled?

Time for something lite this weekend, even if it's right now a wet weekend from where I am. It's been such a hectic week with too many emails in the editorial inbox, legit emails, press releases, product updates, silly questions, and the never ending SPAM. I love Spam for breakfast, but not this type of Spam. There have been too many emails that we have missed that we rendered spam by our email server, and for those we haven't replied to, our apologies.

We Are All In This Together

Gungho Cowboy

As airsoft players, we also would like our sport spread out as wide as possible, as far as possible, and have as many players as possible. If we are passionate about airsoft, then even in our own small way, we help promote the sport, wherever, whenever. Airsoft businesses rely on our continued patronage so they can keep on developing new products, and able to employ people to come out with even better products and services.

Paintball Industry Now Supports California SB798. Paintball Players Disagree

Logan

The Paintball Industry in California were able to lobby and have CA SB798 amended to exempt paintball markers before it goes into a vote later this month. With this accomplished, they are now in support of Bill, to the disbelief of the US airsoft community. The California Airsoft industry has lost an ally in the campaign against SB798, but they still have the National Rifle Association to count on.

Gungho Cowboy

It can be finally be told in one clear, but grim manner. Wired Magazine's story "The Secret History of Iraq's Invisible War" has put together the never ending efforts of defeating improvised explosive devices (IEDs) by the US military. Plus, the velcro strap is losing fans among US Army soldiers. The decisions of the US Army are mainly based on practical reasons why they should revert back to the Patrol Cap and relegate the Black Beret for other purposes. Early reports say that the US Army was to ditch the black beret, but on the contrary, it will still remain in use, depending on the discretion of the commanders.

Active-i: Could Have Been A Better Wearable Camera

Logan

At Popular Airsoft, we are always in search of gadgets to record the airsoft action without increasing the weight that we carry during airsoft games, or increase the number of stuff we attach to ourselves. We are probably have the only sport that makes us carry too much stuff with all the contraptions, weapons, gadgets, tactical gear, protective equipment, at any given time, even for just short games. We always want to minimize the number of essential gear to play airsoft, but still be able to record our games well.

Blackwater Coming To The Xbox 360

Gungho Cowboy

Yes, and they're not there to guard your Xbox game console. You get to play as a Blackwater operative protecting a fictional North African town from two warlords. It sounds almost like a Blackwhawk Down video game, with the difference of having Private Military Contractors, rather than soldiers as characters in the game.

Editor's Note: We let Thumpy's 3-D House of Airsoft also use our Feature section to write about this other development that threatens the use of airsoft in the US State of California as we know it. As the days go by, the anxiety of airsoft players and businesses in the California, and perhaps the rest of the USA will even be more felt with these political moves being made by the State's officials:
