The June 2011 issue of Airsoft International Magazine is now at retailer's shelves. So check it out, and word from Ai-Mag's Editor In Chief... "It's all in the name. The other night I hopped onto the information highway (internet just in case you were wondering) and did a bit of browsing- no NOT porn, well okay maybe the odd bit of gun porn and jumped onto a number of information blogs. The one thing that got me was that the owners of the successful ones played a low key part as 'The Blogger' they seem to shun away from the lime light and seemed from my point of view more than happy to provide a service without the notoriety, then it struck me that the guys who are clearly wearing slippers in their front rooms and struggling for an audience come up with grandiose titles for themselves such as Editor in Chief, CEO or even VP of Editorial (to name but a few)?

I don't get it? Are we as an industry so hung up on titles? Are these a bunch of shallow individuals who feel more comfortable with grand statements after their name Or is it as I suspect the little peoples vain attempt to make themselves look more important in that tiny little corner of the net that they inhabit? Me I'm simply the Publishing Director, that's because I direct the publishing aspect of EBCON publishing, okay wearing another hat I could be called the MD or if you want CEO, but on my business card it simply says my name. I guess that's because I don't have to prove anything. I personally don't want to stand out from the airsoft crowd, I'm an Airsofter that has been privileged enough to publish a successful magazine and run a successful publishing house, but in my opinion that doesn't give me the right to come up with grandiose titles for myself or does it?

The future's bright, the future is Ai.
