AONW: CA Tango Down ECR-4 Preview

OptimusPrime

A week ago, Airsoft Outlet Northwest posted their preview of the Classic Army Tango Down ECR-4. Better read it if you missed it. Here are excerpts... "This AEG is essentially a Tango Down M4, referred to as the ECR, which sports a unique rail system and receiver, as well as a Tango Down Battle Grip and vertical grip. The ECR-4 is the standard carbine length, while the ECR-5 is the shorter 11.5 inch barrel. Internally, this AEG uses Classic Army’s newest ABS, or Auto Blowback System gearbox, which sports 8mm bearings, steel gears, and a ball bearing piston head and spring guide. The fake bolt is fairly heavy and provides a very solid report when the gun cycles. In addition to the blowback feature, both ECR models use CA’s new M4 style hop-up, which is much more stable than older designs.

[...] Overall, the Classic Army Tango Down ECR-4 has all the makings of a top-tier airsoft rifle. In addition to premium internal parts and top-quality external construction, this rifle also sports a brand new look and a slew of licensed accessories. Our source tells us that the final production ECR-4 AEGs have been approved by the vice president of Tango Down, so hopefully it won’t be long before we’re able to get these rifles on our shelves. There is no solid production schedule or shipping date yet, however, so until then we’ll have to make do with pictures."
