Jaeger Precision takes the Tokyo Marui Desert Eagle "Hard Kick" GBB pistol to the range, a model he had never owned until recently. Describing it as an older "relic," this episode aims to test the pistol's reputation as a "sniper pistol" by shooting it out of the box with heavy .30g BBs at long range. He begins testing on the range, experimenting with the hop-up setting to achieve the best results for distance and accuracy.
During the test firing, he adjusts the hop-up almost to its max setting and successfully scores hits on targets at 45 and 55 meters. Whilst attempting the 65-meter target, he observes that the shots are likely running out of velocity and "dive bombing" just before reaching the target, noting this is probably the limit of the pistol's abilities. The video also shows the pistol chrono-ing at around 1.073 Joules, confirming it is not a high-power model, and he finds it challenging to track the BBs at such long distances.
In the end, he expresses that he is not disappointed with the performance, as the pistol is utilizing very old technology, and he would have been surprised if it could have achieved hits at 65 meters. Despite its age and moderate power, he deems the Desert Eagle a very fun gun to shoot due to its reliable, consistent performance and good blowback, making it enjoyable for collectors or casual shooting.
