Red Storm Rising Milsim Event Video

OptimusPrime

Red Storm Rising, the milsim event that will be held on the 4th of June 2008, released a preview video fo the event... "Game is for the invited or recommended people - it is to ensure the highest game standard possible. As it is an international game, English has to be used on every operational level. Civilians can, but do not have to, speak English! Military vehicles will take part in the game and will be available for use by everyone.

NATO Troops are a stabilisation force. 'Be careful what you shoot at, because people do live there'. They must cooperate with the locals (LARP players), ensure their safety and to convince the sceptically-minded.

NATO operations are aimed at eliminating/limiting the OPFOR activity (numbers and type of OPFOR is restricted information).

Everyone will be provided with two meals a day and water.

NATO forces will be deployed in a base. NATO base is also a game area. You sleep in a hot zone. You will have to ensure it's safety yourselves. "For some must watch, while some must sleep" (eye protection is obligatory also while sleeping).

We provide radios for batallion HQ communication.  After the game ends we invite you to an after-party (included in the price). During RSR the organizers will be shooting a movie.

Entry Zone:

Before entering the game area you have to check in. Every player will be given a magnetic card. It is a ticket and a dog tag to identify players during the game. Every card will have an individual number connected to a player. You can only enter the game with this card. Apart from the registration data the card will hold the company/platoon assignment, number of WIA, KIA, MIA, POW, commendations and reprimands.

After checking in you are leaving your civilian stuff in Entry Zone and you are leaving by bus to MILSIM area. Journey (about 2 hours) is a part of a MILSIM, as you will make first step inside of vehicle - the game has started!

After you will get to NATO base you will be redirected to the shooting range, where your weapons will be checked on chronometers (it might take some time!) and your living quarters will be showned to you.

Entry Zone address and map:

Lipowczana street, number 6, old fort called "Okecie" near international airport Okecie.

Entry Zone is opened from 4 June 0600 till 4 June 2100.

Weapon transport:

In Poland there are no legal restrictions concerning ASG replicas (it cannot be over 17J). RSR organizers do not allow CO2 propelled replicas or grenades. ASG replicas should be transported covered and without a mag inserted. If you are stopped by the police inform that you are transporting a toy asg gun right away! Do not carry an uncovered replica! If you are driving through Germany you might encounter problems with transporting your replica.

Early arrivals:

Those who plan to arrive earlier should contact S1 (Cezar or Postać) ASAP.

Own pyro:

You aren't allowed to bring your own pyrotechnical devices. All pyro will be supported by organizer.

Breaking this rule will result with immediately removal of player from game.

Cadre:

The Cadre of RSR will be provide by the Ranger Unit. They are trained and controlled by the Leadership Source.

Their responsibility is to you as a player and the Leadership Source. They have extensive backgrounds in Air-soft and MILSIM as well as hardcore training from the Ranger Unit.

They are the final judge on action set down in the rules. Don't argue, you will lose. They will also act as the liaison between the players and MILSIM HQ's and they will act as translators when needed. They are your artillery support and air-support as well as you communications link to the HQ."
