Designed in 1976 for the Italian Army to replace the Beretta M951, the M92 has mostly become iconic within the US Army. Its intermediate size makes it a weapon easily handled by a large number of personnel, small or large hands. The basic M92 has been declined in a multitude of versions and evolutions, including this model, the M92F, which differs from the M92 by the shape of its trigger guard and its handle, was developed in the 1980s.
